2. What Spendo provides
Spendo helps you transaction and organize income, expenses, accounts, currencies, budgets, recurring transactions, savings goals, and shared household finances. Features may include receipt scanning, imports, exports, reports, notifications, and device widgets, depending on your app version and the offer available to you.
Spendo is a transaction-keeping tool. Its current features do not connect to your bank to retrieve transactions, hold money, execute payments, or transfer funds between bank accounts. An account transfer entered in Spendo updates your transactions; it does not move real money.
Reports, estimates, and budget calculations are informational and are not personalized financial, investment, tax, or accounting advice. Check important figures against your original transactions before relying on them.
3. Accounts and access
Some features work locally without an account. Cloud and household features require an account and, where indicated, an internet connection. Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials. Do not share passwords or verification codes with support or other household members.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into the applicable agreement, or the authorization of a parent or legal guardian where required. A purchase requires the authorization of the payment account holder.
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are not automatically responsible for activity outside your control merely because it occurred through your account.
4. Your transactions, synchronization, and exports
You retain your rights in the information you enter. You authorize us to store, process, and display it only as needed to provide the features you use, handle your requests, and meet applicable legal obligations. Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling separately; these Terms do not replace any consent required by law.
Personal transactions can be stored on your device and backed up with an active Plus or Gold plan. Free accounts can recover personal transactions previously backed up, following sign-in and plan verification. This recovery does not activate ongoing cloud backup. Existing signed-in sessions can use available local transactions offline; fresh sign-in and cloud recovery require successful online checks. Offline changes are not backed up to the cloud until synchronization succeeds. Check sync status before changing devices, uninstalling Spendo, or clearing its data. These actions can remove unsynchronized local transactions.
Review imported data and receipt-scan results before saving. Recognition, category suggestions, and conversion may produce errors. Scanning supports camera images, selected receipt images, and supported PDFs. Saved category choices can personalize later suggestions using retained receipt text, as described in the Privacy Policy. Keep original receipts and use available export tools for transactions you need to retain. Exported copies and files shared with other apps are managed by you and their recipients.
These practical precautions do not exclude our responsibility for defects or loss for which we are legally responsible.
Personal transaction deletions are queued locally before being synchronized. You can undo a pending deletion only before its deletion synchronization starts. Removing a cloud-backed transaction on one device does not mean every other device has already processed the removal. Silent change notifications prompt other devices to synchronize, but delivery and processing depend on connectivity, operating-system restrictions, account access, and applicable sync availability. Compact deletion markers prevent stale copies of the same transaction from being uploaded again; their retention is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Household transactions and budgets
When you create or join a household, its current members can access shared household information and transactions. Invite only people with whom you intend to share this information, and protect invitation codes. Do not include another person's information unless you are authorized to do so.
Household transactions are shared transactions, not separate personal copies for every member. They appear when a household is selected in supported transaction views and reports, and do not appear in the Home personal-history card. Personal and household report data are shown separately. Selecting a household when adding a transaction does not also charge or credit your selected personal account.
Saving a household transaction requires an internet connection. The server saves the transaction and updates its budget totals together. A rejected or offline save does not create a personal fallback transaction. If a connection interruption makes the outcome uncertain, check household transactions after reconnecting before submitting a new transaction.
Household income adds funding to the month of the transaction after confirmation. Available funding equals the base monthly budget plus that month's income; remaining funding equals available funding minus expenses. Income does not turn spending negative or permanently increase the base monthly budget.
Household totals follow calendar months in UTC. The base budget remains in place, while each month's income and expenses are calculated separately. Unused funding does not automatically roll over. Starting a new month does not delete earlier transactions.
The author of a household transaction or the household owner can delete it online, including as part of a multiple-selection deletion. Successful deletion removes its financial contents and reverses its contribution to the household's budget totals. Household deletion has no pending-undo period; other members' devices reflect the change when they receive and process it. The owner can also delete the entire household, which removes its shared transactions for all members. Leaving a household or deleting your own account does not necessarily remove its shared historical transactions. Where other members remain, ownership may pass to a remaining member. Contact us about corrections or privacy requests; these features do not restrict statutory rights.
6. Plans, prices, and purchases
Spendo may offer Free, Plus, and Gold plans. The offer presented before purchase identifies the included features, allowances, price, currency, billing period, and renewal conditions. The store confirmation shows the amount you authorize. Do not rely on an example price or a feature not included in your offer.
Gold allows creation of one household with up to 10 members, including its owner. Accounts may belong to one household; invited members can join on any plan without a separate paid subscription. Existing households created under the earlier policy retain Plus sponsorship with up to 3 members and 300 shared transactions per month while the owner has eligible Plus access. Existing memberships are not removed by this change. Newly created households require Gold. Shared allowances do not include personal cloud backup for invited Free members. If the owner no longer has eligible access, existing shared transactions remain readable, while new shared transactions and joins pause.
Purchases, where available, use Google Play or Apple's App Store. Their applicable payment and subscription terms also apply. The checkout and receipt identify the relevant seller and billing arrangement. A subscription is not activated merely by tapping a purchase button; payment and subscription verification must complete.
Monthly or annual subscriptions renew as disclosed at checkout unless canceled. Manage renewal through the store account used to purchase. Ordinary cancellation normally stops the next renewal, with access continuing until the paid period ends, subject to the store's confirmed status and any applicable refund or withdrawal. Uninstalling Spendo or deleting a Spendo account does not itself cancel store billing.
Use Restore purchases with the original store account and the Spendo account associated with the purchase if access is missing. Contact support if verification remains unsuccessful. Do not purchase again merely to retry verification. Plan changes, credits, and their effective dates follow the offer and store confirmation.
Allowances apply as disclosed for the applicable feature and period. Temporary preview access or an unenforced allowance is not a promise of permanent unlimited access. We will not use later enforcement to retroactively charge for earlier use or reduce an existing paid commitment contrary to applicable law.
New personal transactions, including CSV imports and both records of an account transfer, have monthly allowances of Free 300 per device, Plus 500 and Gold 3,000. Paid allowances are shared across devices and include personal cloud backup. Offline and simultaneous usage is reconciled when connected; excess records remain on the device until a later monthly backup allowance becomes available while the plan is active. Receipt scanning has separate monthly allowances per account on each device: Free 60, Plus 300, Gold 1,000. Canceled selections and failed recognition are not charged; completed recognition counts even when a total is not found. Saving the result uses the transaction allowance. Editing, downloading or restoring existing records does not spend the local creation allowance. Server-generated recurring records use their separate service rather than this local creation allowance. Deletion does not refund consumed allowances. Existing data remains readable and exportable after a limit is reached or a plan changes.
Personal cloud-backup allowances apply across devices to newly uploaded transactions: Plus 500 and Gold 3,000 per month. Free does not include ongoing personal uploads. Downloads and recovery do not consume this allowance. When it is full, unsynced personal transactions remain on the device until eligible backup can resume. Gold households share 2,000 new transactions per month; eligible existing Plus households retain 300. Deleting cloud records does not refund the allowance, and stale copies under the same deleted identifier cannot be re-uploaded. Monthly periods follow UTC.
Active-item limits (Free / Plus / Gold) are: accounts 2 / 5 / 20; categories 20 / 40 / 100; currencies 2 / 5 / 20; enabled recurring schedules 2 local / 20 cloud / 60 cloud; active incomplete savings goals 2 / 10 / 30; uncleared debts 2 / 15 / 50; and category shortcuts 2 / 10 / 30. Existing items above a new limit remain available, but additional items or activations require room. Home customization and privacy lock require Plus or Gold. All five premium themes require Gold; the standard appearance remains available on every plan. Search, reports, CSV import/export and PDF export remain available on all plans; imported new transactions still use the applicable creation allowance.
Cloud recurring processing requires an active Plus or Gold plan. With Auto processing enabled, a due schedule creates its transaction automatically. With Auto processing disabled, a notification asks you to confirm; confirmation triggers server processing without waiting for a scheduled monthly retry. These recurring transactions do not consume the personal backup allowance and can be saved even when it is full. Processing and delivery depend on service availability. Free includes two device-local recurring schedules. Notifications ask for confirmation before saving on that device, including for schedules previously set to automatic processing. Confirmed records count toward the Free monthly transaction allowance. Notification delivery requires device permission and may be delayed by operating-system restrictions; open the app periodically to replenish reminders. If you return to Free with more than two enabled schedules, only the first two receive local reminders; pause a schedule to make another eligible.
After more than three calendar months since the last activity received by the server, cloud recurring schedules may be disabled. Offline app use cannot immediately update server activity. A push notice and an in-app reminder may explain the change. Reopening the app does not automatically re-enable disabled schedules; review and enable the schedules you want to continue.
7. Withdrawal, refunds, and consumer remedies
Statutory withdrawal and defect remedies remain available. Consumers in the EU generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance service contract. Applicable exceptions require the legally prescribed conditions; merely using Spendo does not automatically waive these rights.
Use the store's withdrawal or refund route where it handles the transaction, or contact admin@ensight-tech.de with a clear request and purchase reference. If immediate service was expressly requested, a proportionate charge may apply on withdrawal only where legally permitted. Required pre-contract withdrawal information and any model form are supplied with the relevant purchase process.
There is no blanket “no refunds” rule in these Terms. Contact us about defective or missing service; mandatory rights to correction, price reduction, termination, or reimbursement are unaffected.
8. Acceptable use and app license
We grant you a non-exclusive right to use Spendo for its intended purposes under these Terms and your applicable plan. You may not unlawfully access another person's transactions, distribute malicious code, disrupt the service, misuse invitations, or evade payment or security controls.
Spendo's software, branding, and original interface remain the property of their respective rights holders. Restrictions do not override rights granted by law or applicable open-source licenses. You may report suspected vulnerabilities privately to admin@ensight-tech.de.
9. Availability and changes
Network outages, maintenance, and third-party service interruptions can affect cloud features and notifications. We provide legally required updates and remedies. Additional changes may be necessary for security, legal compliance, or technical compatibility. Changes affecting a paid service will follow applicable notice, consent, and termination requirements; we do not reserve an unrestricted right to remove paid features.
10. Ending use and account deletion
You may stop using Spendo at any time. To delete your account, use Profile → Edit Profile → Delete account, or contact admin@ensight-tech.de if you cannot access the app. Identity verification may be necessary. Export transactions you wish to keep and separately manage any store subscription.
Account deletion removes account data through the deletion process described in our Privacy Policy. Shared household history, externally exported copies, and legally retained information may be treated differently from your personal transactions.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a serious breach, fraud, security threat, or legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond or remedy the issue. Immediate action may be necessary for urgent risks. Any refund, data-access, or other statutory rights remain unaffected.
11. Responsibility and applicable law
Our liability is governed by applicable law. These Terms do not exclude liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, injury to life, body, or health, or other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
German law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence. Statutory court jurisdiction remains unchanged; consumers are not required by these Terms to bring claims exclusively in Hagen or to use binding arbitration.
12. Updates to these Terms
We will identify revised versions and notify you of material proposed changes. Consent will be requested where required. Publication alone, silence, or continued use will not be treated as consent where the law requires express agreement. Existing purchases remain subject to their agreed terms unless lawfully changed.
